One of a Kind Infinity Pendant Symbolizing STRENGTH & LOVE

My client used to be a competitive kick-boxer and won multiple championships. Her prizes for some of these wins were solid gold championship rings, each set with a genuine diamond. Obviously these rings meant a lot: they reflected all her hard work, discipline, and accomplishments. But a girl is not likely to wear one on each finger. So I was approached about taking out the diamonds and designing a one of a kind pendant that would incorporate them along with some meaningful symbols. There were more diamonds (from a single diamond earring that had been a special gift) as well as an aquamarine from a pendant with sentimental attachment. 

The custom pendant was to convey the concepts of strength, empowerment and love. She liked the idea of an infinity symbol so I started with that as the base. I worked in the stones as well as a knot (strength) which fit perfectly at the top of the infinity symbol without disrupting the flow of the design. I knew I'd float the pear cut aquamarine inside the open space of the symbol but by inverting it, it worked perfectly as half a heart. The other half was completed by creating a recess with matte finish. It's a stylized version of a heart and you don't necessarily make it out immediately so it's one of those special details. 

My client loved the design immediately and the pendant turned out beautifully. A unique piece of jewellery with creative details and loaded with special meaning - this one is sure to become an heirloom that gets passed down. I loved working on this bespoke piece for a strong, brave and inspirational young woman.
