OLD RINGS GET A MODERN REDESIGN
Below is a 'before' shot of two rings Adrienne brought to me for redesigning. One is a family heirloom she inherited from her mother which was set with family members' birthstones. Though it held a lot of memories and sentimental attachment, it just wasn't a style that my fashion forward client could enjoy. The second was a diamond ring she had purchased but which she didn't find herself wearing.
Instead of leaving them to just sit in a jewellery box, she approached me about combining them into a fresh and contemporary ring design. One that suits her style and which she can wear with enjoyment.
I came up with this modern, asymmetrical ring with a geometric design that incorporates negative space and sharp, clean lines. The ring was made in two tone gold so she could wear it with her yellow gold jewellery, silver as well as two tone pieces. The diamonds were gypsy set on the yellow gold side while the birthstones pepper the white gold tines in a slightly off set pattern. The result is a unique family ring that will sit on Adrienne's finger instead of in her drawer.
