Mona's Family Heirloom Ring
Mona commissioned me to design a ring that would incorporate diamonds and emeralds from 3 meaningful old rings that spanned 4 generations. Here is what they looked like:
She wanted me to incorporate all of the stones into a single, striking ring that she could wear on a daily basis. Mona gravitates to more contemporary styling and liked bezel settings. I came up with two one of a kind design concepts for her consideration.
The ebb and flow designs express a ‘life flow/river of life’ symbolism in a structured but artfully whimsical manner that incorporated all of the original gems in a wearable way that would protect them well and ensure many years of enjoyment. Mona decided to proceed with the top design.
The ring turned out beautifully and will be a part of many more family memories. Mona plans to pass the ring down to her daughter Caroline.
