Roberta approached me with three deeply sentimental rings, the diamonds from which she wished to redesign into a single ring.
She wanted something a little more unique and contemporary but a design that would still remind her of the originals from which the stones were removed. She came in with an inspiration photo which gave me fantastic direction as to her intended aesthetic and I was able to create a design that resonated with her on all levels. The number three was meaningful to Roberta so we incorporated three of the larger diamonds (from the anniversary band) on either side of the marquise centre and three small accent diamonds (from her cluster ring) on each of the interior side walls of the ring. See the rendering below:
We went with a two tone gold design for maximum versatility which also helped highlight the unique design of the ring. Roberta was thrilled with the finished ring and I was thrilled that I was able to help bring new life to her cherished diamonds while honouring the meaning and memories associated with the original rings.
